Friday Lunch: Katie Johnston

Fri 30 Mar, 1pm, No.11 Gordon Street

Artists talk

During her residency at Deveron Projects, Katie Johnston has been working on the Community Crockery. On Friday 30th March Katie will talk to us about the project during our Friday Lunch at 1pm, No. 11 Gordon Street.

Considering the widespread closure of amenities within Huntly's town square, a disheartening reality that affects many towns and cities today; how do we maintain our diverse community within an age of globalisation?

Katie's response to this problem is the making of The Community Crockery, designed and made in collaboration with a wide range of community members. The set will re-establish the values and identity of the town, and through the therapeutic act of making, provide a welcoming space in which the community can unite and engage with issues affecting Huntly and the wider world.

All welcome. Suggested donation £2.
