Minor Path Bashing

Thu 9 May, 10am, meeting in the Brander Garden

with a wee picnic, and a discussion on the nature of paths and path-making

Help us maintain this community path and Town Collection artwork by Alan MacPherson. In 2012, as part of a writing and research residency, Alan, with 45 pairs of feet from the Huntly community, brought back the overgrown, near-redundant path now known as the Minor Path. Now, in an echo of the original action, we'll retread the path.

Meeting at the Brander Garden, together we'll walk down to the start of the Minor Path at the Bogie Bridge. Using hand tools to prune and bash, and the act of tramping, we'll reclaim this path from its cloak of encroaching summer growth.

At the path's conclusion at Gladstone Park, we'll refresh ourselves with a wee picnic, and a discussion on the nature of paths and path-making.

Booking recommended info@deveron-projects.com Bring study footwear, long trousers, gloves, secateurs/sickle and/or a strong stick!
