Deveron Arts is working with storyteller Ben Macfadyen to create a tale of the White Wood. At November's Farmers Market, Ben is looking to hear stories from the people of Huntly. Come to our stall, have a seat, grab some tea and tell us a story!

Ben is a storyteller and collaborative artist based in Glasgow. He uses a broad spectrum of the arts, working with people aged 3 to 103 to tell their stories, and explore themes of transformation, reconnection and resilience. Over the last five years he has worked across the U.K. to implement arts-based nature connection and food growing initiatives, and he is also a performer and theatre maker. In his most recent project, 'Out to Play', he worked outdoors in Primary schools across Glasgow, using storytelling and drama to inspire wonder for the natural world. He is now preparing for a number of creative projects around the upcoming COP21 climate talks in Paris this December.

He is very excited to spend time in Huntly and meet all the stories that live there!
