Two Solstice walks.
Summer Soltice Day Walk: 9.30am, Cabrach, at the telephone box.
Walk with artist Anne Murray this Solstice, as she reaches the end of her 60 mile walk of the River Deveron.
The walk will follow the route of the Deveron, up the Alt Deveron to the conflux of the burn of bank and Kindy burn and the return to the Cabrach skirting around the White hill and back down to Cabrach.
Meet at Cabrach at the telephone box at 09:30am.
Please wear suitable walking clothing and bring a packed lunch. This walk involves up and down hill assents and may be wet under foot.
Participants should be medically fit and understand that they undertake the walk entirely at their own risk and that the organisers shall not be liable for any accidents, injury, loss or damage caused as a result of taking park.
We aim to finish walking around 3.30pm.
Summer Solstice Evening Walk: Friday 21 June, 7pm, Grouse Inn, The Cabrach
As a celebration of the longest day and of artist Anne Murray's final day walking the length of the River Deveron, come along for a walk to the first conflux (where two streams meet to become the source of a river).
We'll leave the Grouse Inn around 7pm and head up the River through Torniechelt to near Hay Hillock where we will toast the River Deveron with freshly caught salmon, poems and music.
Please wear suitable walking gear.
For a shorter walk please park at the Bridge of King'S Ford, we will see you on our way past.
