Black Combe Walking Festival

A great mix of nine days of guided walks and talks at the gateway to the Western Lake District. From Wainwrights summits and valley explorations to coastal rambles and nature trails, walks are led by local volunteers keen to share their enthusiasm and knowledge of this beautiful corner of Cumbria.

Black Combe is one of the Lake District’ most iconic fells, its distinctive shapeisoften the first peak visible across Morecambe Bay from the M6. Between sea and mountains, from its summit you can see the kingdoms of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man on clear days. This area has inspired many of Lakelands great poets including William Wordsworth and Norman Nicholson.
