The Town Is The Venue

Town Collection

Since the mid-1990s, visual artists, musicians and writers from all over the world have been invited to live and work in our town Huntly. With each residency, these artists have contributed artworks and other artefacts to an expanding living archive: The Town Collection.

These works are not held in one place, gallery or museum, but are uniquely hosted in local shops, businesses, public buildings and private residencies in the town and within the surrounding area. This is why Deveron Projects works under the guiding motto the town is the venue.

With over 60 works in the collection, they represent distinctive relationships that reflect the diversity, interest and character of the local residents as much as they do the artists who have worked here.

Through the Town Collection you can discover the history, people, architecture, as well as the nooks and crannies of Huntly in a unique, social way.
