Jonathan Claxton is an Aberdeen-based land artist. He came to Huntly in 2001, creating work exploring the relationship between nature and language and the horizon as the separating line between sky and earth, the human realm and ideals.
This installation was the stairwell of the Huntly Business Centre and was one of a series of public works around Huntly by Claxton including an outdoor mural at Gordon Primary School and an intricate black and white spreenprint at Sellar’s Agriculture.
Please note: this work is in storage, and no longer on public display.
