Paul Carter's works tend to acknowledge a presence beyond our own - whether it is something spiritual or extra-terrestrial or something yet to occur. This digital image, what Carter describes as 'spirit photography', shows John Lennon above Huntly Castle. Carter, on residence with us in 2000, questioned who our contemporary prophets are, looking to biblical narratives within science-fiction novels and films, and the portrayal of people from the future as messianic characters.
