Annual General Review 2025

Every year, our Annual General Meeting is a point of public reflection, evaluation and forward planning, where we invite everyone who cares about Deveron Projects to join us in a sort of ‘performance review’ for the organisation and its work. Everyone can come along for a workshop and tasty meal – whether you have participated in lots of events or projects, just a few or not at all! All perspectives are welcomed.

This time, we will be focusing on safety, comfort and belonging in Deveron Projects’ spaces, in collaboration with members of Huntly Queer Book Club. Coming together we will reflect on how it feels to participate in Deveron Projects events and community spaces, such as Square Deal and Brander Community Garden. Through readings and conversation, we will think carefully about power dynamics, representation and identity, and how these are experienced in our work and communities.

From this we will look to the future as we create a set of collective ‘intentions’ that will be shared and put into practice at Deveron Projects events and spaces. We hope that this will help us work towards building safer and more inclusive spaces as a diverse community. There will be a tasty meal alongside the usual Annual General Meeting formalities, and we will present our 2024-25 Annual Report. This features reflections, artworks and texts from artists and community members involved in our work over the year*. We hope you can join us!
