Drop by our stall at the April Huntly Farmers’ Market when artist-in-residence Keng Keng Tang will be on hand to guide you through the processes of darning, patching, and caring for fabric. You’ll be able to practice your skills on the community quilt, currently being created as part of regular Quilting Circles in Square Deal.  Since October, these Quilting Circles have seen the creation of hand-stitched patchworks, naturally dyed fabric, and applied quilt blocks, with Keng Keng Tang and invited guest workshop leaders. Through this market mending practice, you’ll be able to leave your mark on a quilt that tells the stories of community curiosity, care and rest. We’ll have tea and blankets on hand to keep us warm, just find us at Square Deal (22 The Square, Huntly AB54 8BR).  This activity is free and open to the public, no booking required. AccessibilityThe Deveron Projects market stall is a family friendly event and children are very welcome. The Town Square is closed to traffic during the Huntly Farmers Market. Through regular events and artists’ residencies, HOME supports the everyday and creative practices of cooking and eating, chatting and caring, sharing skills and learning together. HOME regular events include Friday Lunch, as well as the monthly Food Chain and a stall at the Huntly Farmers' Market. These events celebrate local knowledge and experiences, and explore what it's like to live and work in and around Huntly. Through this work we aim to build more complex understandings of Huntly and its place in the world.
