Art Road Trip: Opening event
Come and welcome the National Gallery's travelling art studio to Huntly, as we kick off a jam packed fortnight of events, activities, talks and walks for all ages. Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the National Gallery, Art Road Trip is driving around the UK with expert facilitators who will open up the national collection through creative workshops for everyone to enjoy.
Here at Deveron Projects, we have worked closely with the National Gallery to develop a full programme exploring land and landscape, that includes new artists' walks by artists Natasha Ruwona and Fi Thomson, collaborations with local groups, a town-wide schools exhibition and critical events that will build connections between the National Gallery's collections and Huntly, as it is now and what it might be like in the future.
This evening will feature celebratory speeches, pizza and drinks. Take a wander around our town-wide exhibition of children's artworks created as part of the programme, and get involved with creative 'world-building' activities in the Square Deal hub.
