Art Road Trip: White Wood walk

Do you know about the White Wood? Nestled in the Bin Forest, the White Wood is a living monument to peace, planted by many members of Huntly's communities with artist Caroline Wendling and Deveron Projects in 2016. Over the past 8 years, the wood has grown and settled into the landscape, almost imperceptible to walkers or passers by. The 49 oaks and 1700 native trees have taken root, still young in their 300 year lifecycle.

To conclude our Art Road Trip programme, join us on a walk up to the White Wood, to celebrate a significant artwork in our local landscape. When we get there, we will get involved with caring for and maintaining the woodland, making new paths and recording the occasion and the woodland through experimental plein air drawings and sketches. Each activity is optional - you are also welcome to sit and have a cuppa!

We will head back down to Huntly for 5:30pm. Our celebratory closing event will start at 6:30pm, sharing food and music connected with the local landscape.
