Art Road Trip x Artists' Social

To mark the National Gallery visiting Huntly, this Artists' Social will delve into the ways that collections are used in contemporary practice. What can these paintings offer artists practicing today? How can they be understood and used to inform the creation of new artworks, within our current contexts?

This Artists' Social will welcome Chioma, facilitator and artist working at the National Gallery, who will share an insight into these questions and share more about how the National Gallery is supporting artists to access and use their collections. Presenting a special preview of a short film made with artist-in-residence at the National Gallery, Rana Begum, we will go on to experiment with responding to some works in the collection through drawing and discussion.
