Art Road Trip x Huntly Queer Book Club
Join this special meet-up of Huntly Queer Book Club, in connection with Art Road Trip. This month, we will be discussing Ursula Le Guin's popular science-fiction novel, The Left Hand of Darkness. This book was one of the first in the feminist science fiction genre, and is widely recognised as an exploration of androgeny, including how sex and gender effect society.
Huntly Queer Book Club is open to all in the LGBTQIA+ and allies. We have a relaxed and no pressure meet up every 6 weeks in Huntly.
This month's book club will be facilitated and introduced by artist Fi Thomson, followed by lunch and a walk developed by Fi that draws from ideas in the book we are talking about. The walk is called Meditations on the Left Hand of Darkness - the details for this are here.
You are welcome to come to the book club and the walk, or just one or the other. Either way, do let us know which parts you plan to come to by emailing jenny@deveron-projects.com / phoning 01466 794494 or sending a DM to either @QueerBookClubHuntly or @DeveronProjects.
