Food Chain: Jiaozi, Mandu & Bansh dumplings

This Food Chain cookery workshop will focus on all things dumpling, in celebration of Asian New Year!
 Led by Huntly Diversity and Language Group, we will learn how to make three different kinds of dumpling from different countries that celebrate Asian New Year. In the workshop, we will make and eat Jiaozi, a Chinese ‘potsticker’ dumpling stuffed with pork and vegetables; Mandu, a Korean steamed dumpling full of kimchi and vegetables; and Bansh, a Mongolian beef steamed dumpling. Giving an insight into how different countries and cultures celebrate Asian New Year, this Food Chain promises to be warming, celebratory and delicious! To book your spot, please contact:

AccessibilityWe expect this event to be busy with up to 18 people. Food Chain takes place in Square Deal, the creative and community hub on Huntly Square. There is a guide to visiting Square Deal online here. This includes information on travelling to the venue, photos and plans of the space, and sensory information. This is a family friendly event and children are very welcome to participate. Please note that pork and beef will be cooked at this event. There is no requirement to handle these foods and there are vegetarian and gluten free options available. This event is free, but you are welcome to make a donation of up to £5 to cover the cost of ingredients.
