August Farmer's Market: Hip to be Square
Come learn about the communities and groups who use Square Deal at the Huntly Farmers Market this Saturday, 10am-1pm. You will be able to talk with staff and Square Deal user groups about how you can use the space or participate in what's happening.
There will be information and members present from:
- Forest and Dot, who run crochet and knitting fibre arts workshops.
- Kids Art Class, a fortnightly art workshop for children.
- Numero Unos, an informal social group for Adults with Complex Disabilities and their Carers/Support Workers.
- Queer Book Club, a group who meet up every 6 weeks to read and share queer stories.
Square Deal is a creative community hub on Huntly Square, cared for by Deveron Projects for everyone to use. It is used by over 30 groups for all sorts of events and activities, from book groups to craft classes, meetings to meals. The space is designed to be accessible, flexible and affordable - a space for testing ideas and coming together with others. We encourage new and non-constituted groups to use this space between £0-£10 per hour, depending on your activity and budget. Deveron projects also use Square Deal to host a diverse programme of free events for all ages.
