The Big Food Chain is back! 
 Join us for our end of year community potluck on Monday 9th December, 6-8pm at Square Deal.
 Food Chain is a monthly cook-a-long where we explore the rich culinary backgrounds we have resident in our communities by learning someone's recipe, and then sharing it for dinner. It's part of the Home Programme at Deveron Projects, a series of regular community events that celebrate local knowledge and experience, and explore what it's like to live and work in and around Huntly.

We've had another amazing year of sharing recipes and meals in 2024 - we mastered Peru's famed national stir-fry Lomo Saltado, got to grips with pickling at a fermentation lab, and discovered that marshmallows make the best sweet pizza topping at the Family Food Chain pizza night, to name just a few highlights!

To celebrate what we've shared and learned together, we're having a festive community potluck. Bring a favourite dish to share, or just come along yourself!*

Access information
The Big Food Chain will take place in person in Square Deal - there is an access guide for Square Deal online here that includes images and sensory information along with access and bathroom details.  The Big Food Chain is free to attend and all are welcome. There will be the option on the night to make a donation - all money raised will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians.  Children and young people are very welcome to come along. There are a few toys and puzzles for younger children available at Square Deal. 

We'll be sharing a delicious potluck dinner and will be clearly labelling all the food for allergens. There will be vegan and gluten free options available. *You're welcome to join the Big Food Chain with or without a dish.
