Come and make a sonic spell for the Aberdeenshire landscape with artist Ashanti Harris at the Huntly Farmers’ Market. Ashanti is one of Deveron Projects’ current artists in residence and is working on a long-term project exploring the connections between people, land and energy in and around Huntly.

At the market Ashanti will be sharing stories and reflections with market visitors and weaving an incantation through audio recordings. Stories of all kinds that connect people to the land, be that folklore or ghost stories, family stories or personal memories, are welcome. The sonic spell will build throughout the morning as stories are layered, looped and played back into the Square as an incantation.
