Ensemble Eòrpa Live

Musicians Lizabett Russo and Graeme Stephen were in residence with Deveron Projects from December 2020 to March 2021 exploring ways to remotely connect through music against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic. They spent their time in Huntly working remotely and digitally with five musicians from across Europe towards a collaborative album together. The album features music written by Lizabett and Graeme for which they took the Huntly bothy ballad 'Bogie's Bonnie Belle' as a starting point. For this live concert, the musicians came together from their homes across Europe to perform tracks from the new album and to chat about the making of the music

The Ensemble Eòrpa musicians are: Lizabett Russo and Graeme Stephen (Scotland, voice and guitar) / Oene van Geel (The Netherlands, viola) / Silke Eberhard (Germany, saxophone) / Nedjalko Nedjalkov (Bulgaria, kaval) / Marius Mihalache (Romania, dulcimer) / Lucas McIntosh (Scotland, bagpipes).
