Food Chain: Welsh Cakes

Food Chain is a monthly community-led cookery workshop, celebrating the diversity of cultures and cooking within our local communities. It's an informal, fun and friendly event, in which a member of our local community in Huntly, shares a recipe that means something to them and reminds them of 'home'.

For this Food Chain, Ruaridh Allen will be sharing his Granny’s Welsh Cakes recipe. This dish connects Ruaridh to his Welsh roots and memories of family holidays. Once we have made a pile of cakes we will enjoy a bowl of veggie soup together followed by the cakes once they have cooled.
