Ayọ̀ Akínwándé joined us in Huntly as a Thinker in Residence for a short time in May 2020.
Ayọ̀ is an artist, curator, and writer. With an academic background in Architecture, his art practice is multi-disciplinary, working across lens-based media, sculpture, installation, sound, and performance. Whilst in Huntly, Ayọ̀ was digging through the gigantic Huntly Express archive! On our weekly Friday Lunch, Ayọ̀ spoke about his own experience of creating archives through his long-term project ‘archiving the future’.
