At the start of this year, Claudia Zeiske visited Saudi Arabia as part of a curatorial programme organised by the British Council. The visit responded to the Saudi Vision 2030 (Arabic: رؤية السعودية 2030‎) - a plan to reduce Saudi Arabia's dependence on oil, diversify its economy, and develop public service sectors to include culture and tourism. The journey led to Riyadh and Jeddah and included a range of heritage sites, art schools, artist studios and the Jeddah 21,39 contemporary art festival.
