Friday Lunch: Sandy Philip

Sandy Philip, a member of the Huntly and District Development Trust team, part of the Green Travel Hub and the Greenmyres Eco Bothy team, chatted to us about the ambitious AB54 Paths project and his work in digitising local paths and trails onto the online network. He spoke about the importance of keeping bike trails safe and accessible, to help those of us who do have bikes in getting round places easier. Taking a bike is also far better for the environment and Sandy spoke about the importance of making cycling in and around Huntly as available as possible. We were also shown  some basic bike maintenance which included how to fix a punctured tire and how to properly clean your bike to stop it rusting.
