This year the MLitt in Film and Visual Culture at the University of Aberdeen teamed up with Deveron Projects for a semester of critical-creative research. Four postgraduate students – Stephanie Benzies, Lee Hentze, Dorota Puszkiewicz-Nowicka and Jessica Robinson – have made a series of visits to Deveron Projects and Huntly, meeting staff, artists and people in the community, researching in the library and the project archives. The brief for the students was very open. They were tasked with producing a portfolio of creative work and an essay, both responding to or inspired by Deveron Projects and the artists who have worked here. On 16 March Jess, Stephanie, Dorota and Lee will be talking about their experiences over the last two months, their inspirations and their work-in-progress.
