Summer Solstice: A Guided Walk to the White Wood

Ela Orlean's Lunar Odyssey elaborates on the soundscape and experience of the White Wood. This guided walk event will form part of the artist's research activities for the project, which will reach its conclusion at the end of the summer.

On the longest day, join Ela and Neil Theodoreson, Community & Education Ranger for Aberdeenshire & Moray, as we walk from the centre of Huntly to the White Wood and discuss the particular ecology of the White Wood and Bin Forest, and the challenges facing it. Ela welcomes any thoughts or experiences on this and the White Wood from those walking.

Meet at the Deveron Projects Brander Building garden, 7pm. Bring suitable footwear for walking on a combination of paths and the varied terrain of the White Wood. The walk should take 40-60 minutes each way.
