Winter Solstice Walk

Winter solstice marks the day of the year with the fewest sunlight hours.  The word solstice literally means, in Latin, that the sun is standing still - it marks the point when the sun's seasonal movement stops for a day, before it reverses and the amount of sunlight starts to change again. To mark this day, we will be meeting at 8am at the Mart and walking up the Clashmach.  The official sunrise is at 8.52am on this darkest day of the year.  The walk is an easy stroll uphill, accessible for many, with a dram on top to celebrate the days getting brighter again. All welcome.  Please wear warm clothes and sturdy shoes for walking.
