We regularly share our learning and experience with students, trainees, organisations and networks, nationally and internationally, who are interested in our work and want to develop their own to better serve their communities. We’re committed to developing and supporting ethical, experimental and anti-oppression based practices in art and community work.
Student placements and work experience
We host student placements and are open to developing new relationships with other secondary and higher education institutions. We welcome student placements when your work here will be undertaken as part of your course.
If you participate in a placement at Deveron Projects we will form the placement around your interests and ambitions as much as possible. In recent years, this has included focuses on our archives, project management, communications and more.
We regret that we cannot sponsor visas for placements and cannot currently offer placements outwith your course.

Talks and presentations
We love sharing our work and practice and regularly give talks and presentations about what we do and how we do it. We will tailor a talk with your input so it is appropriate for your group and interests - reach out and we can chat!
Training and consultation
Our experienced team is skilled in working with creative practitioners, organisations and civic bodies to support the development of your work with artists and communities. We can offer mentorship, training sessions, host team visits / away days and/or work with you on specific projects or areas of development in a format that suits your location and budget.
Particular areas we can support include:
- Place-based artistic practice
- Working with artists, including fair and accessible recruitment, contracting, residency, supporting practice development and more
- Non-extractive and equitable practices of building communities
- Co-creation, collaboration and exchange between artists and communities
- Fair Work and Climate Emergency policy and practices
- Creative organisational development, transition and strategy
In recent years we have worked with Create Ireland, the European Rural Parliament, Culture for Climate Scotland, University of the Highlands and Islands, Renfrewshire Council and others. We offer this work on a sliding-scale fee structure.
