Wild Food Walk with Dan Puplett
On 8th September Deveron Arts contributed to the annual Hairst Food and Farming Festival in Huntly. Dan Puplett a naturalist and outdoor educator led a wild food foraging walk along the banks of the river Deveron. 25 people, including 9 children joined the walk to learn about the possibilities of food for free on our doorsteps. The walk ended with a pop-up wild food kitchen which allowed walkers to try rosehip tea, rowan jelly, wild plum chutney and sorrel soup – delicious.
