This book tells the story of the Gathering Table, across three acts. It introduces the characters, collaborators and their transformations, inviting you to get to know ingredients, processes and conversations through the recipes and choreography of each event. 

The Gathering Table was a project by artist and chef Kawther Luay, with Deveron Projects in Huntly, Scotland. The project set out to explore local materials and ingredients around the town through foraging, cooking, crafting and eating. Over the course of a year, it made connections and fostered collaborations across people, species and cultures (human and more-than-human), to explore politics of food and hospitality.
