Marking a moment in history

On 29 March 2019, Britain is due to leave the European Union.

Many are happy, others not. Let's make 29th March our day of returned harmony, bringing together people from all perspectives - Europhiles and Eurosceptics, old and young, people from here, there and everywhere. Join us for a day of discussions, dancing and renewed friendship across all boundaries. All are welcome to these free events in venues across Huntly; come for the full day, or any part of it. 

12pm - Town Collection European Artist Tour
Curator Alix Rothnie will lead a short tour around selected works by European artists from their time in residence working on past Deveron Arts projects in Huntly.

1pm - Room to React Exhibition Opening with Tapas Lunch
An exploration of democracy, politics and the media from young people's perspective. 
Part of the People's Act project.
Venue: Number 8 Castle Street

3pm - Eurovision Talk Fest
'Huntly calling' Skype conversations with friends and colleagues across Europe
Compere: David Sherry

6pm - UK Citizenship Pub Quiz with traditional British fish & chips*
How British are you? Questions from the actual test. 
Venue: Harry's Bar, The Crown

8pm - Historic Ceilidh
With the Easdale Band. Link arms and dance the evening away 
Venue: Gordon Arms Hotel 

11pm - Willow Tree Planting*
A ceremonial planting to mark the official moment the UK is due to leave the EU
With artist Clemens Wilhelm.
Location: along the river Deveron, adjacent to the Meadows
