Friday Lunch: What If?
Artist Manaf Halbouni's project looks at the Sykes-Picot Agreement of 1916, when borderlines in the Middle East were drawn by British and French diplomats. Manaf is turning history around, imagining a world where the colonisers become the colonised. Through rewriting maps and playing the character 'General Yusef Hadid', Manaf highlights the consequences of such an agreement.
All welcome for lunch, talk and discussion.
