Huntly Toads build a pond in Brander Community Garden

Brander Community Garden and Square Deal Garden are two beautiful and biodiverse community gardens in Huntly town centre, currently maintained by a team of volunteers.

We are looking for volunteers to get involved with the gardens. Depending on the season there are so many different tasks, from mowing grass to picking berries, weeding to building new beds and compost bays, among many others. Volunteering in the gardens is a great way to learn new skills, to meet others and to spend some time enjoying a wildlife-rich green space in the centre of town.

As a volunteer you will have access to your own mini-allotment for growing food or flowers. You will join a small group of committed and friendly volunteers who want to make the gardens a space for everyone to enjoy - human and wildlife alike!

Accessibility

Both gardens are wheelchair accessible. There is an access guide for the Brander Community Garden online here.

We welcome people of all ages and experience to volunteer in the garden.
