Independent Residencies
Independent Residencies take place in the Artist’s House, our dedicated live/work space in the centre of Huntly. Supporting artists and creative practitioners who have their own funding, Independent Residencies offer time, space and support to carry out research and development work, on your own or with a collaborator.
The Artist House features a private, bright, flexible, open-plan studio/ living space that is ideal for reading, writing, editing and researching, project development, digital practice, practicing, resting, testing new approaches to making work and/or reflecting on existing work or learning. Small-scale painting, printing, sculpture and textile-based work is also possible.
If desired, Deveron Projects staff can support your work through informal conversations and studio visits.
Cost
£400 per week (Mon-Sun) or £150 per weekend (Fri - Sun). Fees support Solidarity Residencies among other costs.
We encourage artists to seek funding from external bodies (or their own organisations/ projects where appropriate). We can provide a letter of support - please give us as much notice for this as possible.
