At Deveron Projects we recruit for jobs, residency commissions and Community Programmer roles, among others. When there is an opportunity to work with us at Deveron Projects we will advertise the opportunity on our website, via our newsletter and social media. You may also see the opportunity advertised on listing sites, such as Creative Scotland Opportunities or ArtsJobs.

Speculative Applications and Proposals

We are unlikely to be able to support speculative proposals for artist's projects as we have established processes for developing new work, led by our local communities. However, we appreciate it when artists want to share their work and practice with us and can sometimes signpost to other organisations or opportunities.

If you are an artist based in or around Huntly please come and say hello or get in touch - we sometimes run Artists' Socials and want to support artists living and working locally.

If you are interested in working at Deveron Projects or are looking for a job, you are welcome to get in touch to say hello but we suggest signing up for our newsletter to be notified when we're recruiting.

Inclusive Recruitment Checklist

We have an established Inclusive Recruitment Checklist, which aims to ensure our recruitment processes align with our organisational values and approach. Comprising a rigorous list of actions, from Pre-Recruitment to Evaluation, the Checklist is an integral part of our Equity, Access and Justice and Fair Work Action Plans.

If you are participating in a recruitment process at Deveron Projects - for artists' opportunities, jobs or other roles - you can expect:

  • Detailed information about the role and the terms of employment, including fees, salaries and benefits.
  • Fair and transparent timelines.
  • Clear information on how to apply for it, including details on our internal decision making processes. We will always accept applications in multiple formats and encourage applicants to use the format that is most comfortable for them.
  • If you are undertaking an interview we will provide questions in advance.
  • An honorarium for any additional stage, beyond application and interview. For example, for job posts we will usually invite shortlisted candidates to visit us prior to interview - this takes more time but gives candidates more information to support their interview.
  • Feedback. This can take some time to compile specific and constructive feedback for each candidate but we recognise the value of this and want to respect the time you have taken to make an application.

These are just some of the practices we have developed to support you to participate in our recruitment processes.
