Food Chain
Food Chain is a monthly community-led cookery workshop, celebrating the diversity of cultures and cuisines within our local communities. It's an informal, fun and friendly event, in which a member of our local community in Huntly shares a recipe that means something to them and reminds them of home. Once we have cooked the dish, we will sit and enjoy eating it together.
For this month’s Food Chain, Roz and Izzy Caudwell will be sharing their recipes for dhal and palak paneer. Roz and Izzy have been inspired by the variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes in Indian cooking. Over the years they have added their own additions to these traditional meals and in the process, have built memories cooking and eating together as a family. Roz’s and Izzy’s dhal recipe is suitable for vegans and the palak paneer is suitable for vegetarians. Both will be served with rice.
Once we have cooked the dishes, we will sit and enjoy eating them together. Anyone is welcome to join in, but please book your space as these events are popular.

About the Home Programme
This event is part of our HOME programme. Through regular events and artists’ residencies, HOME supports the everyday and creative practices of cooking and eating, chatting and caring, sharing skills and learning together. HOME regular events include Friday Lunch, as well as the monthly Food Chain and a stall at the Huntly Farmers' Market. These events celebrate local knowledge and experiences, and explore what it's like to live and work in and around Huntly. Through this work we aim to build more complex understandings of Huntly and its place in the world.
If you'd like to contribute to the HOME programme, or know someone who you'd love to hear from, then get in touch with us on: info@deveron-projects.com.
